Camp sites in Normandy and Northern France

Hi all,
Just booked our crossing on the euro tunnel Oooh scary never been abroad with the van before or that matter through the tunnel.

As its our first tour abroad we are just staying around the top of France so were looking to to visit historic sites from the wars so were looking for good sites around these areas.

Any recommendations will be recieved with great pleasure as I havent got a clue also I was woundering about using camping cheques were traveling over on Monday the 8th of August and returning on Friday 12th of August.

I look forward to your suggestions.

Cheers,
M.H.

Unfortunately Camping Cheques aren't accepted for those dates on any of the sites in the area you're looking at. A site near to Calais which is close to the Bunker where the V bombs were built is Chateau du Gandspette - not a cheap option in August (though it does take Camping Cheques up till mid July and again in September). From there you could also do a day/evening trip to Ypres.
