Hi

We are considering going to Camping Du Letty in Benodet France next year and wondered if anyone had any experience of this park. Any help would be appreciated.

Me and the family have been here for past 4 years and booked in again this August cos we love it. This year there is a brand new water park so hopefully it will be even better. The site is immaculate with various sized pitches. They are in blocks of 6 and you may not get right near the beach but none of the pitches is more than a few minutes walk. We have a twin axle and have always managed to pitch up relatively easily. Kids love the kids club, wife uses free gym, I go fishing by kayak from the beach so all happy. My kids are now 9 and 6 and it is perfect for them, they will go crabbing all day in the lagoon given the chance! No noise at night, staff are realy helpful, not many teenagers in past but this might be different now water park open, will wait and see. Dave

Hi Bosch_Dave
I heartily agree with DavidB's opinions of Camping Du Letty. My family and I first visited Du Letty in 1997 on our first visit to France as tenters. We returned a number of times in subsequent years staying for 4-5 weeks in July/August, latterly as caravanners. We loved the site and speak of it as our most favourite campsite. We last visited in 2003 but my wife and I have booked to return to Du Letty this August. Our 5 kids have now "grown and flown" but some of them are considering joining us during our stay this summer.
A particular plus feature of Du Letty is that they do not require a deposit or booking fee and one can shorten or lengthen one's stay at anytime including when actually staying at the site. it is quite an expensive site but, IMHO, worth the cost and more so when the new Water Park opens.
I like to think that we have played our small part in making Du Letty popular with UK campers. You can read 30 positive reviews of Du Letty here:
http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites/reviews.asp?page=1&revid=5461
Mine is the first review (No 30) and gives details both of the campsite and things to do in the area.
I'm confident that you won't be disappointed if you visit Du Letty.

I have heard a lot of complimentry posts regarding camping Du Letty ,but found it was very expensive. We have just returned from Benodet where we stayed at campsite sunelia La Pointe st Gilles which is just next door to du letty,&100m from the beach. Its a 4 star site & has terrific facility's nice water park with slides, wellness centre, resturant, supermarket, terrific toilet & washroom facilities tv room ect ect ,but best of all its an ACSI site so is only 15€ a night 22/4th to 1st/7th & 27th/8th to 18th/9th so if you can holliday between those dates you could save quite a bit on site fees
