Camping La Colombiere in Neydens, Alps & Rhone

We wonder if anyone has been to this site and has any views or advice ?
We went to Switzerland the other year to Interlaken and loved it, love France as well and this area appeals to us.
Thank you in advance for any replies.

Helo Hugh

We stayed at this site a couple of years back as a stop over on our way to Italy it is a nice with good facilities and easy access to Geneva which is worth a visit but i would`nt want to stay much longer than the 2 days we were there it was all a bit cramped.

Regards

Hello Hugh,

Sue and I stayed there about three years ago for about 4 or 5 days, en route to Italy. We liked the site and area very much. It is true that by French standards some of the pitches are not very big, but ours was certainly big enough for van, awning and car. Don't forget that if you are only booked in for 1 or 2 nights they are not likely to give you their best pitches compared to those staying longer.

The welcome was very good, the restaurant provided basic but very edible fayre (and unfortunately at the time we were there, an infestation of flies).

Geneva & Lake are very well worth a visit, but I think our favourite was Annecy.

We'd certainly use it again.
