Camping la Yole, Saint Jean De Monts, Atlantic Coast

We are about to book our main summer holiday, we will be away the first 2 weeks in August. The site we are looking at is la Yole near Saint Jean De Monts. We plan to use the CC booking service and the Portsmouth- St Malo crossing.
Can anyone recommend the site or know if there's much to do in the area to keep our young teenage girls occupied?
Thanks

A very good well run site. Choice of pitches ( possibly less so in August) from serviced/shaded to "open". Good swimming pool facilities and retaurant on site, camp shop. We didn't have children with us - long flown the nest - but would think there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity to keep them occupied. Beach within walking distance and the miles of golden sands at St Jean de Monts approx 4 miles away, good bike tracks. Supermarket, bakery cafes etc within 1 mile. Recommended.

We had a week at this site about 3 years ago although in low season. If you are comparing prices perhaps try the Brittany sailings where caravans go free i.e, Poole to Cherbourg (11am) sailing - it may make a great difference on price. We are sailing from Poole twice this year and will aim to get to the docks to sleep the night before. You can then either travel straight down to La Yole or break the journey with a one night stop at Haliotis, Pontorson, close to Avranches. There are some good supermarkets close to the site and the beach at St Jean de Monts is vast. The site has quite a few statics and is then laid out on the left hand side - very shaded and the right hand side, quite decent sized open grassed pitches - however there are some of these that are close to the play area and, even if you have children, may want to keep some distance away. The pool area with bar restaurant is very clean but may get very bust when the site is full. After looking around the camp sites in the area, this may be the better bet.

Its a good site but if you are going in August you had better book soon as its a very popular site.
We were last there 2 years ago, it appeared that at the time they were replacing touring pitches with statics
