Camping Saint Louis, Ardres

Hi,
Anyone else experience a problem attempting to access the the website www.campingstlouis.com
Contacted site by email to explain situation but they say nothing is wrong.
I am redirected to a site "Coteo" Web designers?
Hope I have posted in the correct forum!

I would guess the site has forgotten to pay its 2011 subscription to the website designers! Happens a lot at this time of year! Wait a few days and try again. They may then have realised their error and paid up!

Hi Val A,
I suspect you are correct.
However I sent them an email to reserve a few days for springtime, gave all the necessary details and received the shortest reply ever, one simple short word " No " no sorry we are full etc. etc. just a simple " No "
Find it very difficult to get my head around as to why any business would respond in such a manner ?
Anyway plenty other sites to choose from.

We always stay near there at Chateau du Gandspette, at Eperlecques, always using Camping Cheques. It's a busy site, with good sanitary facilities, pitches are generally OK (though do get waterlogged at times - but they are working on that by underpinning the grass with reinforcing), there is a nice small bar and a larger restaraunt area, where we usually have our last meal before catching an early morning ferry home. It's handy for both Calais and Dunkerque, and even better there is a Carrefour supermarket about 500 m away which is just large enough to do a last minute shop - and fair enough away from the day trippers to not suffer from the inflated prices of some nearer to the ferries! Cheap fuel, too, at the supermarket petrol station, so for us an ideal stop-over.
Without Camping Cheques, though, it can be quite expensive.

Have used St Louise and Gandspette and would say that Gandspette is the better campsite. Apparently they have made some improvements to St Louise since our visit. There are some details and photos here:-
