Has anyone travelled recently to Switzerland this year I'm considering using this site but photo doesn't look great, probably not doing it justice; alternatively any suggestions would be appreciated.
We stopped at a very nice site this year at Krattingen near to Spiez if you look on my wbesite details of it in Trip No. 7. 2010.
My link does not seem to be working put the address straight into you address bar instead
Stayed at the site on Lake Brienz in August 2009. Site was very busy but had a good pitch. The facilities are good and has a basic restaurant and small shop. There is direct access to the lakeside footpath/cycle path. The village of Bonigen is closeby where you can join the lake ferries. Interlaken is also close by.
Booked direct with TCCS and arrangements were perfect.
Hi Philip, thank you for the info. can you give me marks out of 10 1being poor.............I am interested as this is a camping cheque site and therefore much cheaper than other swiss sites, however I don't want to spoil a holiday just for saving money.

Did you read that Schulegg site at Krattingen is ACSI and 4 star the same as Alisehof in the Black Forest which is 5 star and both 15 euro's . All the services and owners are excellent.
Hi Snooks, thanks again unfortunately I have missed the boat with obtaining an ASCI card they are sold out until 2011; I have only just got into these cards especially as I understand they can be used in the UK as well.We live and learn; thanks again
We enjoyed this site and would rate it at 8. The pitches are like some others we have stayed at in Switzerland (eg Manor Farm) and are not over large but our friends did get their 7.7m Hymer on. The toilet blocks are very good. We paid cash for our pitch but we did meet some who were using camping cheques and understand they were told they would get pitches in the centre of the site. You can see the position of the site on Google Earth and if want a few photos please send me your email as I am sure I have loaded some on my laptop. The couple running the site were very helpful. We used a supermarket opposite the station in Interlaken as there were few facilities in Bonigen.

If you go onto the ACSI Camping Card site in Holland you can most probably get a Dutch, German or French speaking book exactly the same as ours then you will have a card to use. You can see all the CC sites of ACSI on that site and get details. Its worth a try.
As you can see I have reverted back to my original Forum Name with the addition of a T.
