Hiya all,
I know you would think we have had enough of snow BUT!!! We are looking to spend 10 days, at the start of June 2011,at this site. Has anyone any experience of it regarding ease of access as we do not have a mover on our t/a Hetty so there needs to be room to position the van with the Tank(Jeep GC).There are many sites on the lakes Thun and Brienz but not many are in the Camping Card/.Camping Cheques scheme and without this it would be too expensive for us.The main reason for choosing this area is that my sister and her husband are renting a mobile home at Aareg at the other end of the lake!!!We are including it in our itinerary so as to have a holiday with family!!!!

Thursdays Child we went to Switzerland in June this year and stopped at Camping Stuhlegg at Krattigen, which is on Lake Brienz takes Camping Card and is in the book for 2010 and on Page 297, Site No. 720 in the 2011 Book. We could not fault it 4 star. Free WiFi too. As you know we have a twin axle, 8 meter van and though we do have a mover we did not need it on this site. The owners are very friendly and helpful too. It is mentioned on my website too in last years trip in Europe.

Went to Seeblick in 2009 and only a footpath separates the pitches from Lake Brienz. The village of Bonigen is on the outskirts of Interlaken. The pitches are"compact" and the site was full in August. The larger pitches tend to be on the outer edge of the site.
In 2010 we are going to Camping Stuhlegg at Krattigen which overlooks Lake Thun.
If your family are at Camping Aaregg in Brienz this is also on the lakeside and appears to be a very nice site.
Wherever you stay it is a beautiful area of Switzerland.
