Camping Monmar at Moncofa. Approx 25 miles N? of Valencia. Beach 200 metres; town approx 1 mile. Site a bit "sterile" i.e. all hard standings, serviced pitches, good swimming pool facilities. English speaking, friendly owner/manager?

If you are travelling outside the peak season then have a look at Playa Tropicana north of Valencia. It has the beach on the doorstep and the toilets are amazing. Never had statues and giant pot plants in loos before, and there are lots and lots of showers. Swimming pool on site although it needs a wee paint around the edges. Supermarket with cheap costs, virtually the same as Eeroski and although it is a long walk in to Alcosebbre it is an easy bike ride. Alcosebbre is a peaceful and very pleasant small town with good shops and restaurants. Some wonderful beaches kept spotless all the way along.

Very popular with Dutch, Germans and French geriatrics, and us of course.

Look in both Camping Cheque and ACSI books for more details.
