Can I use a monitor?

I was thinking, (I was lying down in a darkened room at the time), if you can use a wide screen monitor with a sky+ box as you don't need a tuner, also would it work with a DVD player?

I was looking at the Novatech site and wondered if you can get connecting cables, link below.

Apparently, The answer is...yes you can! providing your monitor is LCD as opposed to CRT.

Anything is possible, however do the sums and just make sure that you are not ending up paying as much as you would for a telly in the first place. Many tuners for computers cost as much as tv from Argos or whatever. Also sometimes getting it all to work can drive you to...drink. Now mmaybe that is the answer. make mine a large one.
