Can my VW Beetle tow a small van?

Have a look at the VIN plate, usually a sticker on the driver's door frame - there should be 4 weights, if there's a difference between the 2 highest, that difference is the maximum towing weight in kg - if the 2 highest weights are the same, or only 3 weights are shown your car cannot tow anything as it's not type approved to do so.

I think the Beetle can tow up to 1000kg, but you need to check the V5 or VIN plate on the car?
