Tell me does anyone know how you can check out how good solicitiors are in their different fields.

Look at what car they are driving, what size of house they own etc. If they are good then they are in the money. Of course, they could just be successful crooks as well.

It is impossible to tell. For example the highest paid QC in Scotlasnd usually defends the indefensible, therefore loses, but gets paid an absolute fortune.
