Hi Maxmini. I think you find that the light you are talking about is operated off the remote control but still download the manual as Damian has suggested. I feel pretty sure we had the same set up on our Ace Suprememe but cant remember just how it works I think the remote has the picture of a light on it and its controlled from here If Im right it turns the 12 volt side off as well.

There could be a small round switch on the light fitting side
Some Swifts have a light switch near to the door as well so that you can reach it when entering in the dark
Our remote just controls the alarm and outside awning light
Does this help

NE183 CONTROL PANEL
NE189 CONTROL UNIT
LOW & HIGH
CONTROLS:
Press this key to turn the control
panel ON. Depending upon the
software version, either a
momentary or longer (1 second or more)
press may be required to turn the control
panel on. In stand-by mode (without active
controls) the NE183 control panel with the
NE189 control unit consumes a total of
approx. 40 mA.
Hold this key down for over 1 second to turn
off the control panel, reducing total
consumption to just 1 mA.
If the leisure battery voltage drops below
10V for over 2 minutes the control panel
turns itself off.
Starting the System will use the first available
power source from VAN, CHARGER or CAR.
Key with LED to turn ON/OFF the
PUMP. The pump does not work
when the control panel is off .
When the pump is working the LED
is blinking.
Key for turning LIGHT group A on ( Pic of caravan shown)
and off.
Key for turning LIGHT group B on ( Pic of caravan shown)
and off.

Hi max, we had a swift 2006 model and there was a ceiling light that operated from the control panel by the door (the one that has the battery gauge, and pump control on it.) The point of this was that you could switch it on from near the door and not have to wander about in a dark van. Don't know if this helps; sounds like you have already invesigated the control panel. I also seem to remember that the ceiling lights each had switches on the actual light fitting and you had to run your fingers around the casing to find some of them as they were tucked to the back.
Hope you find it.
