Car Insurance for Europe 6months plus

Hi All,

I hope some one can help! Does anyone know of an insurer who will insure a car to be out of England for 9 months or more? We have found a couple of companies that will do 6 months, but none that will do any longer. The insurance needs to cover most of western europe and we won't stay in one country for more than 3 months - as I know this has additional implications. We have got insurance for our caravan to be out of England for 365 days, but not much good without the car!

I have read all the posts relating to breakdown cover which have been very useful. We now only have the car insurance to organise.

I believe Saga insurance is EU wide, no limit on stays abroad, with exactly the same terms and conditions as in the UK, at no extra charge. BUT you must be officially resident in the UK with a UK address.
