I know to lots of experienced caravaners this will sound really stupid- but to save any newbys like us making the same mistake i would like to mention that we were insured with co op eco insurance and discovered by chance that having a two bar is seen as a modification and insurance is null and void. I know we shoudl have realised but we didnt. when looking at the comparison website to get another quote it doesnt mention in modfications that a tow bar is one. We have learnt our lesson!
 
I'm sorry to hear that Susan and hope that you didn't find this out as a result of a claim being refused.

I suggest that you re post this item in the Insurance Security & Storage section of the forum where it will be seen by more members who will respond.
