car to caravan

Braked towing limit is 1200kg, the lightest version of your car is 1040kg though so I wouldn't put more than that on the back as 101lbft of torque won't be fun with a load of caravan behind it!

Hello Cento,
Rather than guessing at the figure its far better if the OP tells us his exact model of car, as not every version of a model has the same specifications. Detail changes in the specification can change the towing advice, things like gear box, fuel type, sometimes even body shape, and some models may not even be rated to tow anything.

Also being new to towing the Industry recommendation is not load beyond 85% of the cars kerb weight, which is another factor to be considered.

while the Prof is of course right, in these matters, I do wonder sometimes why such questions are asked in such a vague manner, ok so their new. new to caravanning and new to forum but still.
all the info is out there on the net, look for it, Research,Research,Research,Research,Research,
and when you have got the answer then ask a question, dont expect someone else to do it for you.
it is like asking how long a piece of string is.
the answer to that and the OP question is the same. 42. anyone knows that.
