Car weights and nose weights

Hello Hazzar,
There are plenty of third party sites that claim to have data for cars, but none of them are complete or should be used as being gospel. Several significant errors have been found in them. The problem is you don't know which figures are inaccurate. Kerb weights are notoriosly difficult to accept.

You should always use the data that comes with your car and on the V5 document, or if in doubt seek confirmation from the vehicle manufactuer against its specific vin plate number.

Thanks im looking at nose weights my peugeot has a low nose weight im looking for something a little bigger than my 307 but with a better nose weight ie 308sw or 407sw may even consider a focus or vectra thanks again.

I do not know of any database giving details of maximum allowable noseweight. In any case, it would be difficult to do so as it's not only the car manufacturer's limit that counts, but also the limit imposed by the towbar manufacturer. Usually the two limits are the same, but not always. The lower of the two is always the one that applies.
