Cararvanning on Belle Ile en Mer

Has anyone camped or caravanned on Belle Ile en Mer the Brittany island off Quiberon?

We visited the island as foot passengers a number of years ago and I was wondering about taking the caravan there next summer. There are about 10 campsites and some of their photos show caravans on on site.

I can't find any details of the car ferry and whether it can take our 7.2m caravan.

Any information woud be very helpful.

Thanks
Tim

I did later eventually find the website for the ferry to Belle Ile with the prices, albeit in French.

Unfortunately the fares seem to be VERY STEEP. €447.85 for the caravn and €128,05 for the car!!!

It was always a dream of ours to return to Belle Isle and stay as it is indeed a BELLE Ile we've only been for a family day's cycling trip about 16 years ago.

We always remember that as we cycled through one small village, Cary at the front and me at the rear, with our 5 kids, then aged, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 13 between us the local residents on the street gave us a round of applause!!! A happy family holiday memory we often laugh about. We're still not sure why we got the applause - I suppose we made quite a picture all in our, then rare in France, gaily coloured cycle helmets!!

Unfortunately at those sort of prices I'm afraid we WON'T be taking the caravan - a shame but c'est la vie!!!
