I suspect the answer will be yes but is it okay to travel with the main bed already set up, ie slats pulled out cushions down and the quilt all set up. The reason for this is we are travelling through the night to Newquay expecting to get there at about 2am where we are directed to a holding field before the site opens in the morning and it's usually me who sets the bed up but after driving for 6 hours the kids will be really tired and restless along with me and it just means we could go straight to bed when we get there.

Any help greatly accepted

I see no reason not to have already made up the beds so long as you don't leave any heavy items lying loose on the beds and the noseweight is set correctly.

If travelling to (for instance) spend the night at Dover before an early ferry, we always make up the beds so that we can just hop in once the legs are down. I can't see that it would cause any problems at all ... the only difference is that the weight of the slats moves back by 1.4m and will probably reduce the noseweight by about 2 ounces.

Hi,

We used to set up both beds when we had a double dinnette layout, for exactly the reasons you outline, and never had any problems. We now have a fixed bed - what's the difference?

no problems on the bed front it' standard practice on overnight jaunts for us but check if there is a charge for using the late arrivals space as we have been charged more than once for the use of it despite only being there a couple of hours
