Caravan Cleaning

I purchased a caravan (first timer) last June Swift Challenger 580 2009, and have brought it out of storage ready for servicing. I washed it yesterday, and both black streaks and streaks in general remain. Can you advise what cleaners to use, I've seen Fenwicks bandied about...?

Also, is it beneficial to get the paintwork sealed using Supagard or Diamondbrite etc, etc. similar to that employed on a car?

thanks Russ Stone

Hi Russ

Most caravan shampoos will remove black streaks, a bit of Fenwicks applied neat will do the trick every time or as St Gump mentioned, Mr Sheen furniture polish.

I apply a good polish to my caravan every year followed by a coat of wax, this is as good as any commercial paintwork sealant and will ensure that black streaks which are caused by air pollutants and / or road grime are easier to remove.
