You will have to book early on to get on the sites you want Steve especially popular ones over the Bank Holiday weekends.This is always the case with the CC.We have just been to Chatsworth and that has been booked up since earlier in the year at BH weekends.December this year will not be too early for next year.It doesn't take long to do online and you can always keep a check on your bookings.

You could try some CLs, or the "no facilities" sites, these usually have spaces.

Even if a site appears full on-line, it is worth ringing it direct near the time, as there are often cancellations.

Popular CC sites during any school holidays are always fully booked shortly after bookings open every December.

You buy a caravan and think heigh ho I can just go where and when I please but it just aint like this anymore except as someone has said unless you go for cls any even the best of these get difficult when school is out.

Try working out a programme later this year for the next summer and get in early for Easter/Whit/Spring bank hols then do your August likewise, you can always cancel later if you have to but we find at least this gives you a chance.

If you are trying to book a site on the website they always seem full, try giving the site a ring as quite often they have spaces. The web isn't always up to date.

in the sschool hols, booked a CL for a week in Cornwall a week before I went, booked another for four nights while down there, then booked nice site in Somerset for three nights on way home, booked four nights CC site west Runton for four nights from sunday on the bank hol sat, I hate booking weeks in advance and prefer to take my chances and it does turn up some unexpected gems.

just reiterating what some have said , try ringing either the site or the reservations team.

I needed to change our October Half Term week and the website was saying no vacancies yet when I rang the call centre I changed without any problems , and that was to the Lakes as well.

Hi, Ive just joined and when looking for a site I too found them always full or no pitch for awning, then i started looking at each site without imputtig any info and when i looked at seeing if space it said there was room with awning pitches. I have had no problem since. Hope this helps if it makes sense
