We store our caravan at caravan club site, we have done so for the past three years, each year around this time the renewal comes through and each year it goes up by £20.00 first year £25.00 second year and by £30.00 this year. I am beginning to think this is becomming a bit of a rip off. We are now paying £330.00 per year. What is everyone else paying.

thanks

Surely if the Caravan Club was guilty of `ripping off` people they would vote with their feet (wheels?) and go somewhere else?

The Caravan `Club` is a business and is entitled to charge a commercial rate for its facilities, if anyone thinks they are too expensive then the answer is to move elsewhere, then if they ARE overcharging they will be forced to drop their rates to attract customers.

If they can fill their storage sites at their current rates that may suggest they are undercharging.

Personally, I keep my van at home (my choice of van was limited by access) and I would resent paying

We to store our van at a CC location just outside London and have to say that the year on year rises of 10% is steep. But they are still competitive when compared to many other storage sites. We have a large pitch. 365 day a year access, and security on site.Plus washing facilities available. We used to store our old van at a different location and 15 years ago we were paying

We store our caravan at a local dealer...god hard standing and security etc...have just found out that our new year holiday is in jeopardy because the dealer is shut for christmas and there is no access from 23rd - 2nd jan !!! I'm governed by a covenant on my house which does not permit caravans on the drive etc . The local agricultaural engineer has a space and will charge me less that 50% of the dealer storage price and he lives on site and is prepared to "help" at any reasonable hour. CC insurance only requires two forms of anti theft device ( Hitch lock and wheel clamp)so that's all fine the only draw back it that its on grass...!But its quicker to walk to the engineers workshop than it is to get the car out and drive there
