Everything is relative, and each of us has different objectives. Caravanning in the winter is perfectly acceptable, if that is what you wish to do. However, it does cost money and some of us prefer to keep the money and use it towards the summer season. It also depends on where you live, if you live in the north then the daylight is so short, that you will spend 3/4 of the day in the van. If that is what you wish, then fine. Personally I prefer to stay at home and enjoy the day as it is.
Don't get me wrong, we are thinking seriously of a winter trip, but in the south of Spain where we can reasonably expect longer daylight and warmer weather. Again, it will cost so we need to save towards it.
I enjoy the caravan very much, but it does not dominate my life.
