Cars No specific date or requirement for 13 pin sockets, you can have whatever you want, 7 pin or 13 pin

Thanks, Damian, thats what I thought.
I need a new tow car and have been looking at a 55 plate car that has a single plug that looks new and this confirms my thoughts that the towing gear has not been on the car since new.

Our '55 plate vehicle had a single 13pin plug on it so we used an adaptor.

Rather than using a adapter lead I would use one of these as it saves having to tie up the extra cable so that it is clear of the road when travelling, it can be removed quite easily to prevent theft as it plugs strait into the 13pin socket .......
