Hi All, just received an email from the CC about their courses, I wonder if anyone has attended them and what do you think, value for money etc.

Have they increased in price since last year. Thought it used to cost about £99.00. What is the difference between the two?

CC have always done two courses - the shorter is manoeuvring and towing only - the longer one includes on-site practicalities as well.

"on-site practicalities as well." Any idea what would this be as I am thinking of sending my wife on a course next year.

My wife did the full course over one and half days at Evesham.
There were four men and four women. The hands on instructions and demonstrations were excellent so much so she has taught me a few clever tricks particularly reversing which I always thought I was good at!
She left the course with a very detailed comprehensive written package explaing all you need to know about towing and caravan husbandry.
She tows our outfit with confidence but moreso she fully understands what is actually happening whilst towing, eg road position braking distances etc.
I wish she'd been on a course 20 years ago

I went on the manouvering course when we bought our first brand new van about 4 years ago. Although I had towed before I thought I would learn how to do it properly and found it excellent with some good tips especially reversing. My wife since then does a good job guiding me in with clear hand signals (bring hands together like a single clap to indicate distance from tow hitch for instance instead of the aimless flapping about we see on pitches sometimes.) Go for it I would say.
