Caravan - Manufacturer's Recalls

Just received a manufacturer's recall for the car and I've never heard of a caravan manufacturer's recall for a caravan.
Has anyone ever received one.

Yes!
Lunar issued a recall notice earlier this year because of a faulty batch of steps, which are being replaced.
This is in addition to non-recall warranty work they carry out.

We had one via VOSA for a recall on our Jeep.

With cars, it depends just how safety critical the recall is - in most cases the manufacturer themselves do the recall but if it's a critical fault then VOSA do it, presumably they don't trust manufacturers ?

VOSA has (or should have) current keeper details for vehicles. Vehicle manufacturers may have records of original purchasers, but probably nothing reliable beyond that. Not the manufacturers' fault as there is no legal requirement for new owners to advise the manufacturers of vehicle acquisition.

Don't know about recalls but they sure take their time when replying to email complaints
