Caravan Roof Cover

I'm thinking of buying a roof cover for my van. It's stored under birch trees and in spring it gets covered in greenfly fallout and goes black soon after. Has anyone found any problems with these covers. the van is stored at home so it can be aired at regular intervals.

Cheers

Paul.

We had a full cover a few years ago which as tailor-made to size, so therefore not cheap. The second year we used it it marked the caravan all over, with blotches which never really polished out. I would therefore consider a roof only cover had I your trees to contend with. Protec do one which again is not cheap and which is secured by sliding into the awning rail on both sides. There is one where we store our van and it looks quite good. There is also one on the market with a slightly fuller cover which seems to have elasticated sides, but again they are not cheap. If the trees are a real problem, then a cover might well be worth it.

I have used a Prtoec cover for the l;ast 5 years and it defintely keeps the van clean. I know because when I remove it the top is green with the slime from the trees at my storage site. I have had no problems with it marking the van, although I do put a cotton sheet over the front window as it is sloping.

They do tear with age, but as long as it does the job I do not get too concerned. I paid about
