Regarding john b's earlier question it is too early to say about damp in my van because it is only 12 months old but the newer showers seem to be a moulded all in one unit. The only place I could see where water leakage could occur is the seal around the drain plug. When I first used the shower from new the shower tap poured out as soon as I turned the pump switch on but the water just drained away in the shower tray. I suppose in time the shower door seals may perish/warp and that might have to be watched out for. I did sometimes use the site showers when I had my older van but walking to the showers and back in the pouring rain, freezing cold and getting there to find they are all taken got on my nerves. The finally straw was one morning I thought I'd struck lucky finding one cubicle empty. I soon discovered why, in the middle of the floor was a turd. It takes some believing I know but the poor wardens would have had to clean that up - yuk. Oh and btw they were mixed showers so ladies dont be quick to blame us males heheheheh!

No Wendy, it certainly wasn't a foul, though I did see a pheasant hanging around the shower block smirking.

the third caravan we had was a pageant moselle we had it for 6 years and we used it all year round using all the facilities on offer and we never had any sign of damp at all .

the best laugh i had on site was a man with a modern caravan with a camping stove set up in his awning, they didnt want to get there stove dirty .

for all those that want the basics buy yourself a van and put a mattress in the back and leave us who like a good standard of living while we are away alone
