Anyone seen this programme?

It was on tonight on some obscure Sky channel, and was so poor it was hilarious.

They had a `dealer` on, who when asked why some caravans have two axles and others only one gave the explanation (I paraphrase) "it depends on how long the caravan is".

Another feature included "hitching up" which was dead simple. Pull the hitch to a position above the ball, wind down the jockey wheel until the hitch goes click, plug in the black socket and you`re ready to go. Simple. Like the presenter who stands there with an inane grin on his face and the unmentioned breakaway cable trailing around his ankle. Priceless.

It`s really worth watching just to see how bad and inaccurate it is. It makes the "Caravan Channel" look like something produced by Lord Attenborough.

Trouble is, anyone taking any notice of this sort of stuff will venture onto the roads potentially causing carnage.

You don't have to switch on a TV to see this sort of thing. Just look through some of the well known caravan mags - and these are people who should know the subject. One I spotted today says " Then there are the products being developed to make our favourite pastime even safer like the AL-KO chassis". And here was me thinking it had been developed years ago! Someone please explain to her about ATC!

You dont need to watch Tv or read about some of the farcical things that people do with caravans, just look around on a campsite, I still cant believe the amount of people who STILL insist on levelling their Caravan using the corner steadies !

What's the betting this programme will now get it's biggest audience ever - probably lead to spin offs - " Strictly Dancing Caravan Sites on Ice " finishing with the 'and finally over to a site where you are'. Can't wait for next Wednesday.
