caravan sink crack

Hi,

Can anyone offer any advice on wether it is possible to repair a cracked plastic type kitchen sink or is it advisable to take it to a repairer. I have discovered 3 small cracks coming from under the stainless steel plug hole bit, which are big enough to allow water to leak into the drawer below. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Rob

I would just replace it if you can get one to fit

I recently fitted one for a friend as he wanted a bigger washbasin in his Pageant and it cost about

Have you thought about removing the fitting and cutting a ring out of a piece of rubber to use as a washer underneath the fitting? ie, between the fitting and the sink.

Just read your post again, and if the cracks extend beyond the ring, perhaps an adhesive such as Araldite applied underneath them might be a solution.

My friend had crack in the sink of his new Swift and gaffa tape underneath saw him through a long holiday in Spain until he could get it replaced under warranty

Use some Captain Tolleys Creaping Crack Cure, available from good accessory and marine shops.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Will try to fix before I replace I think. Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks again

Rob
