caravan site south/southwest/west London?

We're looking for a touring site as a base that we can use to visit london, for the week after Easter. We would then travel in by train/bus.We're from North Devon so would not want to have to travel through or round London to get to the site. Does anyone have any reccomendations.
 
paul, the C&CC site at chertsey would fit the bill. It is close to junction 11 of the M25 so is on the SW side of London. You could come via Exter onto A30 - Honiton / A303 / M3 / M25 [only one junction].

The site is within walking distance of the station with regular trains to Waterloo.
 
Paul, what about the CC site at Crystal Palace, about an hour or so from the A316

From just outside the site you can catch the No 3 bus direct to Oxford Circus/Piccadily.
