We are travelling from yorkshire in august down to south coast but we cant decide where to go. we have kids age 6, 12 and 16 and want someting with an outdoor pool and kids play area also pub with entertainment but i have had a look at some on the web and it is over £36 per night , we are going for 2 weeks and didnt want to pay all that money has anyone any suggestions. thanks.
 
Widend Touring Site has all that you have asked for but it may be basic for the 16 year old. There is a small games room, outdoor heated swimming pool, club house with light entertainment over looking the pool, outdoor children's play area, shop and part time take away. It is a family run site for families. The facilities in the wc/shower blocks are spotless - you could eat off the floor. The site brochure does not do the site justice and I have told the owners this on a few occassions. Also their web page is basic without any photos of the site - however I can assure you that you will find the site very good. we have been going there for quite a few years and if we are down that area it is the only site we will consider.

The site is equidistant to Torquay, Paington, Brixham and Totnes.
