Can anyone suggest any good campsite in the Norfolk Broads for 2 adults 1 child aged 16 and the other 10. I know that it is in the magazine this month, but I wondered if anybody had any good or bad experiences there?

Looking to stay there August Bank Holiday if we can get in!

Hi

We always stay at CC Broadlands site, flat field not scenic but pleasant. Usual high CC standard. Pretty well central for Potter Heigham, Horning and Wroxham. Ludham nearest village for provisions. However decent local shop opposite the site, River Ant near by. Site is on quite a busy by road. We cycle around from here. Gt Yarmouth not too far for fairground/ beach, although some beaches nearer eg Winterton and Hemsby.

How Hill nearby which would make a day out. Several holiday activities often here for children.

Clippesby went few years ago possibly more childrens activities + club house and bar. Reasonable showers ect (At least at that time)My opinion a bit isolated in that car required for any journey and I like to leave car stood.

Have yet to find Willowcroft on our cycle rides yet been over that way. By the address it is quite a good position.

I would have thought Top Farm and a bit of way from the broads.

Two Mills Adult only

Broads Authority www will give you some ideas of things to do.

Some info on PC www.

Any thing else just ask

Local pub is within 100 yards, also restaurant in the other direction within 100 yards, but advisable to book. Try the pub in Ludham for Sunday lunch, but don't have breakfast!!

I agree with Brian.

Not used the Dog PH just down the road.

Chippy, Butchers and decent deli in Ludham

Resturant across from the site does take away meals I believe

Wayford Bridge Hotel at Wayford Bridge does nice meals. Strawberry picking from trelis's ie you do not have to bend down, up the road from WB. Boat and cycle hire near the Broadlands site. Veg stall a short walk away too.
