Hi we are planning our first long distance trip in July we will be travelling from Manchester to Perrenporth in Cornwall, we are going to travel as far as Exeter (end off motorway) then stop over nite before finishing the trip the morning after. Can anyone recommend any caravan sites in that area that will take us for one nite and is close to the motorway.
Thank you.

Hi Ratty3,
There are plenty of sites that you could look at for good caravan sites. C&C club - Car'n C OR do you know  some M-Way service stns allow overnight parking (if you didn't want to leave your main route at all.) Don't forget to check out a very popular advisory site for reviews. We found this invaluable when we travelled from Rochester to inverness last year (with our Cat).

Hope this is of some help to you.

Happy Caravanning...... :p .

Try the Caravan Club site at EXETER RACECOURSE. Open to non members . on the A38 a few minutes from end of M5 . Full facilities and only a few minutes from A38. I have used this and backtracked on A38 to pick up A30 south. All on dual carriage way or motorway.
Have a good holiday

This one at the end of the M5 and as with gyp's reply you could back track onto the A30 or as with both suggestions you could continue down the A38, distance about 2 miles between them but A38 adds about 12-15 mins to journey and there is a toll on the Tamar bridge BUT only when you leave Cornwall. If you use gyp's suggestion, Exeter Racecourse it would probably be just as quick to continue down the A38.
Hope this helps.
