Hi,

I am just wondering as we are returning to caravanning, wether the standard status ariel on our 2002 Swift Challenger will pick up digital channels or will it pick up nothing now the switch has happened?

Thanks, Gavin

Depends whereabouts you are: there is no such thing as a "Digital aerial", only low gain or high gain aerials. If your tv doesn't have built in Freeview, then you will need a set top box.
Good luck

Hi Gavin
You didn't state which Staus aerial you have but I suspect it's a 330 omni directional.

The later models tend to have the staus 530 directional aerials.

I suspect whilst you will be able to pick up digital tv signals the strength will not be as good as on the 530 aerial.

Hi Gavin,
we have the round omni-directional aerial and this year we have been to Rutland, Llangollen and Tavistock and it picked up all the channels we could require, but at Crossways in Dorest it was no use at all and neither was the sat dish as the trees obscured the satellite. So the ideal set up would be a directional aerial with the abilty to llift it quite high and also a sat dish too. But there will be sites that neither work at.
