hi dave, i would like to know the answer to this as well.
I am thinking of putting my van in storage for 6 months of the year. As we go away in winter and when we had a motorhome we parked it on our drive and next door used to throw curry on the top when we were away....dont ask

I have absolutely no doubt that provided the indoor storage facility is well ventilated it will be better for your caravan. No direct sunlight to fade patterns or to denature the gel coats and paintwork, less likely to get wind damage, and out of sight.
A slightly strange down side may be that if the caravan does have a potential water leak through a body work joint of fixing, you will be less likely to know about untill you expose it rain.

We used to use Bronte Caravan Park http://www.dalescaravanparks.co.uk/ which has indoor storage in a railway tunnel but had to move when we changed caravans and our 'space' was not large enough.
