hi can any give me advice as im due to change my tyres which are 175/14s and have a chance of getting some that have been used as spares off a swift can any one tell me if the tyres which are 175/14s 8 ply are ok to use or do i have to buy the same ones which came off them

which are a lot dearer and if yes does any one know of a mobile tyre fitter in the birmingham area

The most important thing to check is that the load rating of the tyre is adequate for the weight of the caravan. The load rating is the number behind the size marking (175R14). For caravans it's usually a number somewhere between 85 and 105. The replacement tyres should have at least the same load rating number as those on the van at present.

In addition to Lutz's advice, it may be an idea to check the ages of these tyres.
