Caravan Tyres

I purchased my caravan new in March 2003 and have noticed that the tyres were made in 2002. Should I be changing them before our Summer trip to France?

Could I use the spare for one of them? It was made same year but has never been used?

How much should I expect to pay for a new caravan tyre?

If the tread is ok and no apparent cracking they should last at least to 08 and maybe longer.As for price it depends on what area you are as there are many deals going .

If you keep your current tyres on make sure you have a spare wheel and tyre with you. We've just had a two year old tyre go (with a bang - and I mean a bang). Couldn't get a replacement in France, but thankfully on the way home, with a decent spare. We had Tyron bands on and I reckon this saved a lot more damage to the van (wheelbox damaged and superficial damage to wooden floor).
