I have just had a front window replaced in my caravan and it is a different colour to the others. The dealership informed me that the new window will change colour given time (6 - 12 months). I'm very sceptical about this, has anyone else had the same problem?

My mate had the main front window replaced on his Sterling Europa about 6 months ago and was told the same, as the new window was grey and the outer, original 2 were brown. So far it is still grey - he got the dealer to put it in writing that the window would change colour as he believes that it won't. So another 6 months to wait, then back to the dealer....???
I had 2 of the front windows in my 2006 Bessacarr replaced due to leakages. The originals were gold tint and the replacements grey !
The salesman also told me that they would change colour in 6 months. Believe me they won't.
It is an caravan industry known problem when the window manufacturers changed colour. Swift replaced the 3rd window under warranty.

Thanks for your replies I really appreciate them. I put this message on the general section of the forum as well and have had a number of other interesting replies that concur with what you have said here. I'm going back to the dealer with this and will let you know the outcome.
