Caravan Winter Covers

Can anyone tell me if winter covers are a worthwhile purchase, I have had mixted opinions from caravan sales outlets.

This is our first caravan, it is in storage and am wanting to proctect it the best way possible, undercover storage is not available anywhere near us, any comments or help as to which type is the best to buy will be appreciated. Thank you Don

I'm sorry that the site is slow tonight, I'm pedalling as fast as I can. Perhaps the cold weather has condensed some of the steam from the boiler in the basement at Haymarket Towers.

One or two of the clever teccy types who use this forum (Gary)can post clickable links on here but when I tried to do it by following the instructions provided the link appeared and very nice it looked too but when it was clicked it didn't work.

I just copy and paste the link from the browser and post it for others to paste into their browsers.

We've used a Specialised Accessories cover on our van for the last 5 or 6 winters. It's starting to get a bit worn in places but keeps the van dry and smelling sweet inside, and in Spring the van's as clean as when you covered it.

We cover the windows with old sheets trapped in the window seals.

Intending to get a new van soon and will get another cover from the same people.

Hi. Don. Have a look on page 13 of Equipment and Accessories at thread Keeping Clean Over Winter. I did mine in September and so far I'am very impressed. If you want a fitted cover, Specialised Accessories give CC members a 20% discount. It's better than Mr. Darling's 2.5%!!! I'll see how my van looks next spring and if I am disappointed I'll look again at covers next autumn.
