Caravan

Hi I've got a ford Galaxy 2010 and a 2005 Abby caravan, when I connect the lights the only lights working on the van are the indicators and the left tail light. The rear right tail light on the car goes off why is it doing it?.

Basics. Thoroughly clean all the terminals on the plug and socket, elbow grease and electrical contact spray..Splay out the split pins. If that doesn’t work then there are other things. Let us know.

It would suggest there may be an earth issue on the O/S/R light cluster on the car, or one of the bulbs other than the flasher (probably the stop/tail) has lost its earth. A bit of bulb swapping and/or earth testing should find the answer.

Note that on many modern cars the earth wire for the cluster will be brown and may or may not be locally earthed depending if the car is fully wired or uses Can-Bus switching. If the latter it could also be the O/S Can-Bus driver module at fault.

Thanks will have a look.
