We have just paid the deposit on our 1st caravan and are now looking for some insurance. We have had a quote from Caravanguard which seemed reasonable. Does anyone use them and if so what are your thoughts about this company if you have been unfortunate enough to have had to make a claim?

We have used Caravanguard for four years, always seemed to be the most competative. Never had to make a claim though, so cannot comment about that side of their business.
Insurance is one of those things that you have to have, but pray you'll never need.

Which ever Insurer you choose thoroughly check all their small print, particularly all the warranties and special policy conditions. Those in relation to security are crucial. If you do not fully comply, especially when the caravan is unattended you may find a claim for theft will not be paid.

we have used caravan guard for the last 3 years and have found them to be very helpfull and competitive, prior to them we used the caravan club who are allso very good.
We found that bothe the club and caravan guard have allmost identical policy conditions and benefits so it came down to price, this year caravan guard quoted a renewall fee of
