Just an observation, but on our trips around the country when chatting you find a higher number of caravaners from some Counties,Hampshire, Northants and Leicestershire seem to be popular areas, we are from Bedfordshire , small I know but we never meet people local to us ie, Beds, Herts and Bucks . I wonder which County has the highest amount of caravaners and why it does not seem such a popular pastime in other places ?

Judging by the cost and scarcity of storage, there must be thousands of caravans in Bedfordshire

Steve W
Your right not a lot of storage sites in Bedfordshire, we got lucky and found a site as soon as we ordered the van but as you say ,not cheap. You think that is why you think caravaning seems to be more popular among people from certain counties, more and cheaper storage ?

Pual C,

Have you not thought of joining the local centre of the CC (in your case Bedfordshire), the reason you might not see many/any from your area, is because they are all off on a rally elsewhere in the country,

best regards, Martin

Believe me, if you start rallying with your local CC centre you will not regret it.

It is like meeting up with all your old best mates from school, with everybody looking out for eachother and someone always on hand if you have any technical problems etc.

I have been caravanning for two years, having upgraded from a tent (cough, cough!!) We joined our local centre six months ago and have never looked back. Sixteen rallies later, the wife and children all agree, it's the best move we've ever made,

best regards, Martin
