Hi everyone,
Have these winter storms put you off towing right now? I bet as soon as the gales die down lots of us will be out and about again! Our Claudia has written about a great caravanning weekend she had in Cambridge at apple blossom time. Just reading it transports me straight to The Orchards Tea Gardens, with its delicious scones and jam. Hope you enjoy it – it's the place that World War I poet Rupert Brooke dreamed of longingly from the trenches a century ago. You can read about Claudia's weekender on our sister website Caravan Sitefinder and there are campsite suggestions at the end as well: Colleges, cakes and more for campers in Cambridge
Happy touring!

Ah, that's a lovely post Kate. The photos all look so summery though, can't wait un til we're back in spring/summer season! I've also found this good recommendation for a site in Devon which looks really good for families planning a trip... http://www.coftonholidays.co.uk/home
Wondering if anyone has ever stayed here? Or if anyone can recommend places to park up in Devon? Looking for a trip down there once the wind eases up a bit!
Thanks

Ben

Some breaks booked for this year, but we cannot get to the van as the access to the storage site is still flooded! We plan to stay in UK this year and see areas we haven't really explored before, and also to return to ones that we haven't visited for too long.

Hi Ben44 - have you looked at Ross Park, Ipplepen in Devon? Stayed there twice and absolutely love the site and it's a Practical Caravan site winner too. Lovely conservatory to eat in, plenty of outdoor space for the children to let off steam and interesting conservation walks and not too far from beaches etc. Take a look!

We are booked in at Ross Park in June this year and looking forward to the break.
