We stay there every Feb for a week, Great site nice and central for west Cornwall.

Fantastic toilet block, new childrens play area (being built in Feb) lovely walks from the site level and Simon the owner is a very nice chap.

Havent been there in the school holidays and wouldnt want to stay anywhere

we got grown up kids now and like a bit of peace and quiet( I expect that comment will cause an argument with someone)

go and have a great time. Lovely part of the country

re carnon downs. We ve been going there for several years, and it continues to be very well managed, and while expanding, doing so in a sympatheitc way. The site is really split into four areas. One, a large grass part, with alot of open space. Another is nearer the road, and to my mind a little noisy, hard standing Opposite that, and so away from the road, is also hard standing. The newer development is very expensively done, hard standing, but with half of the (yet to be converted!) field giving some space. New shower block is outstanding.

As always, the few weeks peak season have its fair share of excited young kids, but its much quieter outside that. there is a very good costcutter open from 7 til 9(maybe) in carnon downs, 2 mins away, that spares you tesco and asda! Note there is something of a rush hour into and out of Truro from Falmouth early morning and late afternoon.

All in all, a very good site, to my mind some areas and pitches suit me more than others. Fee free to mail direct if you want to know more
