Carver cascade 2 leaking

Hi all
I know this is covered on other threads but not sure the answers there cover the issue I am seeing!
I have a leak between the cylinder and the heating element; there has been some work done under there recently so someone may have leaned on the tank and put unequal force
I note on the parts list that there is an o ring between the two - my question ..... is it easy to separate the two and fit the o ring, any pitfalls to be aware of??
Thanks guys

If the tank has been damaged or leant on then it most likely has distorted the tank, or bent the tie bar or both.
If the tie bar is compromised then when trying to do any repair it will probably snap , leaving a stub in the main heater casting, and it takes special knowledge to remove it without causing irreversable damage.

The next possible is that the tank has been bent where it meets the heater casting, and whilst new O rings are still available, if the tank is not absolutely perfect it will leak, and as the tank sits above the burner module, it will soak the module and render it useless.

You really need someone who knows exactly what they are doing to sort it out.
