Hi everyone. Having toured for over 35 years and for the latter of these with our 1995 Abbey GTS Vogue we are hooked on caravanning. Our Carver gas fire started to go wrong in the autumn of 2005 when it would ignite but if we tried to turn it up to heat it would then go out. The next season it was repaired during out annual service but failed again next trip. We've never been successful with it since then, although the caravan engineers can get it working. Next it was the turn of the Carver Fanmaster electric heater. Switch it on and it works well until it gets to temperature. It then switches off and, instead of switching back to warm air it switches to cold. The van has to get really cold to get it working again. This has also been repaired (twice) and lasted a couple of seasons the first time and one season this time. We're fed up with having no heat and are thinking of replacing it with a new Truma system. Has anyone else had this problem and solved it satisfactorily. We don't want to replace the van as we are really comfortable with it apart from no heat.
