edward, I thought you could get them anywhere as my last van had one but a check on the web showed the message "The MK3 has been discontinued from manufacture and no longer have any left. The alternative is to replace the filter housing with the MK2 System".

In the words of one of my heros "I don't believe it" - The caravan industry couldn't do that to it's customers could it?

Last year you could buy three mk3 filters on ebay for a tenner! but I think it's fair to say now there is not a wholesaler in the country with stock and retailer must have all but run out.

The mk3 was perhaps a step to far and Carver soon reverted back to the mk2. The solution for the future then is to convert to the still readily available mk2 Crystal or as it's now known 'Truma Crystal', you will also need a mk2 pump plug to adapt your pump to fit. The conversion is a simple direct swap, should take no more than an hour to DIY and cost around

If the housing is watertight without the filter in place, just leave the element out and fit an inline filter.

I use the Filtapac Econoflow,

edward, My 2006 Ace award has no filter fitted at all [except for the mesh on the bottom of the pump. You could simply do the same, it wouldn't be difficult to bridge the filter input and output holes. Perhaps it is possible to open your filter and remove the filter material and seal it back up?
