Had caravan serviced,engineer could not get heater to ignite,he said that the gas was comming through,is it he igniter? and who would sort it out? don,t want to mess about with it myself.

Any carver engineers out there?

Fred, I wonder what kind of "engineer" you had to service the van, and if he has just walked away leaving you with the fire still not at least diagnosed, what has he done to the rest of the van?

As for not lighting, it could be one or more of several things.

It may be the igniter, or a blocked burner, or the spark electrode.

You need an engineer who knows what they are doing.

Just a quick addition to my last post, Fred, what area do you live in?

Maybe with that info a suitable engineer could be recommended that could actually do the job for you.

Thanks for your comments but the engineer that i used came from

mobile caravan engineers. He operates from Ashford. As i am in the Dover Area.
