challenger 570 television cupboard

the two catches on my television cupboard (the hide away one)on my 2009 challenger are both broken has anybody else had the same problem. if so how did you sort it.

thanks tony winter

I wondered when someone else would mention this. The plastic catch has broken twice on ours now, the problem is that the chrome turnbuckle allows enough movement to let the full weight of the TV to bear on the plastic catch. Our turnbuckle has not broken yet but, looking at the angle it's at, it won't be long. I've told Swift (via the dealer) it's no good and it goes in for warranty work on Thursday.....we'll see what transpires.

Hi Tony

Tony, I didn't...i 'borrowed' it from one of the other lockers.

As a stopgap I have fabricated a shaped metal plate which fits over the catch and stops the split top from opening.

We are aware of some issues of catches breaking we have now modified this in production. We have also bulletined our dealer network to make them aware of the change.

If anyone has an issue with there catches they should contact there dealer to have it looked at.

Thanks

Andy
