Change of road numbers in France?

Hi everyone

We are going to France with a caravan for the first time at the end of April and are looking at maps. I have heard from somewhere that some of the road numbers in France have changed recently. Does anybody know if this is widespread and therefore rendering current maps out of date, or is it just a few, which won't make much difference. Thanks

Chris

lots of roads have changed, chrissie, but my ace number one navigator had no problems getting us to our destinations, even though it was all new country to us. We didn't use satnav, just relied on good old (new) paper maps and common sense. Don't worry, you'll get there!

One of the nice things about touring in France from my point of view is that you don't need road numbers.

The country is brilliantly signposted, so that as long as you know what the next town you need to go to, it will be there on a post on a junction.

Quite often the signs will be in green which denotes a holiday route and therefore quicker journey.
